bike ride

So, yesterday I strapped on my bike helmet and took off...

I first had to get to work and pick up the iPod I forgot. From there, I started over to the Fox River Trail... which took me down a one way street. Keep in mind, I'm going the opposite way on this street, but very carefully, and considerately because I know its dangerous (and probably shouldn't be doing it). I understand that biking against the traffic isn't the best idea. So, I'm as far over as far as I can go so to stay out of the way. Then, a company truck full of guys (I think it was an A-1 Construction truck) decides its in their best interest to "teach me a lesson" or something... and they drive right at me. Luckily, there was a driveway I could get up on. They smile and laugh with each other while I give them the chance to explain why, but they don't so I just bike off without a word... and one of them shouts after me "its a one way street" yeah, thanks jackass... I know.

Then, later... someone drove almost up on the curb (much later on the bike trip) to get me off the road I guess... needless to say braking and letting the person pass did the best.

Let it be known, next time anyone does shit like this I wont hold back how I feel and they'll see it flying from my hand.... a single finger salute just for them.

Besides that, I had a great time. I biked down the trail, through downtown De Pere, then back down Broadway (which is not good for biking after you get back into Green Bay. Too many bumps and rail tines.)

I'm going to stick to the trail for the most part now, since I just don't want to deal with ass holes in cars and trucks.

Felt great after it was done... very tired, but accomplished.

Isn't the trail lovely? I used to take it to work every clear morning during the summer ( work = apac, home = 13th and mason) I miss that trail. I was so peaceful. But be wary of the geese! Maybe by now this springs babies are grown but one year I got chased off the trail by mama goose cause her babies were roaming on the trail. *giggles*

I've been fishing under the Mason bridge lately... the geese have been less violent from what I remember as a kid. They must be on medication or something.
