Love the first one.

Hate the second one.

Thought the last one had merit. I also like the idea of the girl. Leaves something hanging.

and done.

Agree with you. I didn't really need a trilogy.

I agree. The first one rocked, the second one was a waste of time and the third one was ok :)

Animatrix wasn't all that either.

had a few good shorts, but as a whole the disc was pretty junkie.

Ok, so..
Would you hate me if I said that I liked the lot? Wasn't fond of the story line in the second, but really dug the eye candy (Club Hell, the Freeway Chase). The Merilvingion (sp?) was one of the more interesting characters, and his wife was the other.

Have you seen the Animatrix? I hope so...

Anyway, back to work...

Re: Ok, so..
I have seen the animatrix, and I did like some of it, but some of it was stale as well.

I agree that there were good parts to the 2nd Matrix movie, but I felt the Neo-fights were just rehashed fights from the first movie... while in the third they rehashed the gun battle in a room scene, but added new elements to it which freshened it up a little.

I liked the architect kinda... I just feel if they could have put a little more time/effort into the sencond one, and made the end movie basically JUST about Neo vs. Mr. Smith, moving most of the other stuff to the second movie to end on an even more downer, I think the series would hold much more water.
