stupid

You hear all the time, well... more when the whole sept. 11th fiasco started, that the Arab world finds American culture disgusting and stuff like that.....

Personally, I don't know the opinion of that part of the world. I have been there, and know a little bit about their attitude. Know what I know from CNN...

but when you read an article about a man walking into a church and opening fire as part of a militant religious group....

How is our way of life so horrible? The people who make claims against us as a group of people can't live in the near vicinity of another religion because they are so dead set on the fact that they have the one true religion.

here is something everyone should take to heart.
-THERE IS NO TRUE RELIGION!

Killing is bad. It doesn't matter what religion you belong to.
Hate is bad. No matter what.

Crusades are bad!
Jihad (or however you spell it) is bad!

I'm going to go cliche here,
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Call it God, Allah, Buddha... whatever... its all the same.
doesn't matter what you call the supreme being.

Its okay to have different religious customs.
its okay to pray differently
its okay to have different rituals.

why can't people understand that? Why are they so hell bent on the fact that what they belive in is the only true thing?

I'm sorry I started typing.

Not related....
About your Adventure World question... its the closest thing we have to disneyland (which is really, really sad). Its more of a water park with water slides, tho it does have a rollercoaster and a few other scary rides :)

and related to your post...i agree. there is no true religion.

Re: Not related....
Disney doesn't have any good rides though... the best thing is the Tower of Terror. One good ride for all the Disney theme parks isn't a good average.

I'm more of a Six Flags person. Dem be some roller coasters.

If I were in Austraila, I would definatly go there.

Re: Not related....
Have you been to California Park right next to Disney in Annahiem? Its a new park.. full of ultra cool rides. Including the biggest rollercoaster i've ever seen in my life. But then, i didn't visit Knotts Berry Farm. But the coaster was way bigger than Space Mountain. Don't remember any Tower of Terror... unless thats just in Florida?

Tower of Terror is only in Florida.

I haven't been to the park near Annihiem, but sooner or later I'll go to it.

Perspective?
Not really my conversation here, but I think Disney is more geared to young kids and Grandparents or Parents. Magic Mountain is more for the thrill seeker in us all. Hey Joe, I dont know how far away from Magic Mountain you are, but that would be a kewl road trip to meet ya'll up there! Think about it!

Re: Perspective?
Give it a few months my friend. If stop loss lifts before June or July, I'll be out of the military and living somewhere around LA or Orange.
Then, I would be more than glad to meet up for some rollercoaster action!

a quote.
I feel like Laurence Fishburn (sp?) in THE MATRIX when I say, "I know exactly what you mean". But I do. I dont get the whole, "you're an infidel" theory people have. I personally choose my religion, and even if I do think that someone else may be praying to the wrong god or whatever, it's thier choice! It doesnt effect me, it doesnt bother me, it's thier life. But in most, if not all, religions that I have studied (I did this.) Only those considered primitive (like the Native American, Hopi, Buddists) do not have tolerance for any other kind of religion. So called True Religions have a verse or a phrase that speaks (in some manner) that "I am the true and only God, you must not let anyone else worship any other God." Hence we get what we have here today. Plus people and FADS are beggining to annoy the hell out of me. Did you know that the Islam religion has boosted 23% since Sept 11th? I guess it's cool to be Islam now. To be hated as a source of attention or something. Humans bother me sometimes, I'm just so glad I'm not one... I didnt mean to rant like this, I just got rolling.

I didn't mean to rant either... it just happens. I understand.

I'm glad you are open religiously. More people need to be.

You're completly correct and I don't understand why people have to push on judging other religions either. Why someones belief should be judged by someone else. It should not be like that.

Re:
All through the ages religion changes. New religions appear, old one die.... what once was dogma is turned into mythology.

Religion is so abused by people to gain power, money or whatever (just watch TBN). When religion should serve the purpose of the individual.
