hummmm

why do people take pictures of themselves taking pictures? Not in a good way though... as in photo in a mirror of them pointing a camera. I never find these interesting because their face is covered and stuff... what is the photo actually saying?...

maybe it shouldn't matter... what matters is the person is moving forward in their thinking and projection of their emotions through their art whatever it may be...

or I should shut up and work...

hehe, i've always wondered that too... although i think most of the time it is simply the lack of a timer or another person take the photo for them. *shrug*

I can understand that, but then move the camera away from your face so people can actually see you!

at least that.

Not all photos are meant to be art. Some are just documentation or for point of reference.

BTW, is this entry in reference to me?

actually no. It is in reference to uhh.. those random people on "artofcam". Your icon is you peeking from behind the camera, much more quality to it!

I agree with photos for documentation and point of reference. But these two don't really explain the photo of self in mirror (the kind that was taken in two seconds without much thought).

eh... I don't know.

That website has better pictures of people off reflective surfaces. Those few I looked at I didn't mind.

Re: interested
I think no matter who you are, if you are taking a picture like these people are -> you are saying something with it. Its not a random "hey smile" picture that you take of family or friends.

Sure, I'll check yah out...
